Hello, I'm Denise Diggs and welcome to my website! I'm an ordinary person who has had extraordinary things happen to me. I had a long career in law enforcement and writing has been something I've dabbled with since childhood. When I was fourteen I wrote a poem that was published in a book of poems for my school, and I've always kept journals. I've also written short stories. I had a dream of becoming a writer and because of a conversation with my mother and a chance meeting, here I am writing my first book! I have been featured along with my brother Richard Diggs, in the LA Times, and "First Things First" on KBLA. We were also the keynote speakers at the 2023 African American Genealogy Seminar.
